Mr. Lau possesses all-rounded and extensive experience in audit commerce and advisory work, including professional audit, tax investigation, tax planning, internal control review and management consulting.

Partner: Justin C.S. Lau
CPA (Practicing), ACA, BSc (Acct, Fi), CTA (HK), TIHK, MSCA

Mr. Justin Lau is the partner in charge of the firm’s Audit and Business Advisory Services department. In 2008, Mr. Lau began his career at a Top 10 international accounting firm in Hong Kong and gained valuable professional experience working there. In 2010, Justin joined the Lau & Cho and became partner of the firm in 2017.

Justin is experienced in handling listed and private company audits, due diligence and M&A projects over a wide range of industries including retail, manufacturing, trading, financial services, construction, real estates and investment holding companies. He also specializes in taxation and has extensive knowledge in Hong Kong, mainland China and international tax. He is a Council Member of The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong since 2017.

Consultant: Sytske Kimman
Sytske moved from Europe, the Netherlands, to Hong Kong in 1985 and through her work in various financial institutions including bank and corporate management companies, she has acquired a wide set of international consulting, trust, corporate management and trade experience. Her specialties include project management ranging from start-up ventures, M&A and joint-venture projects and establishment and administration of managed trust companies.
Sytske also holds a yacht master and enjoys sail teaching.

Mr. K.O. Lau has over 48 years of experience in the accounting profession and banking industry. Mr. Lau began his career in Hong Kong in 1971 at one of the biggest local accounting firm in Hong Kong and later became a Certified Public Accountant in 1976. That year, he founded his own CPA practice, K.O. Lau & Co., upon obtaining the qualification; and at the same time, he entered the commercial field and acted as the chief accountant of a Hong Kong based conglomerate overseeing business segments including trading, construction, insurance and catering. In 1977, Mr. Lau further solidified his experience as he joined a prominent International bank as Comptroller of Administration and Finance of the Hong Kong Branch. In 1990, he became the regional controller (Northeast Asia Region) of the bank. In 1996, Mr. Lau began to focus solely on his CPA practice, which grew in scale via merger with Albert C.Y. Cho & Co. And for the past 23 years, Mr. Lau have dedicated his efforts to serve his clients and his firm as Senior Partner.
